A load of Whites

8x10 Oil on board
A load of "whites" hangs on a clothesline around the corner in Dundas, reflected in the morning sun.

There's just something about seeing laundry hanging out on a line. It draws me in. Also, I love the reflected orange light in the whites!

I love paintings that have laundry hanging. This one is really nice because of the many colors of white! Your greens are lovely, too.

Nothing is nicer than a painting of washing drying in the sun and the breeze. I think the reason is that it sings and dances the praises of Mother Nature!

Thanks for letting me have the joy of laundry hanging on the line without actually having to do it. Love the colors in the laudry. Nice light.

Isn't it amazing that a simple domestic scene such as laudary is able to be transformed into an artistic painting. Well done and it is lovely to see your everyday objects transformed into art. Kay

Bravo CJ! Love the glow on this one. Why does everyone love seeing laundry, but hate doing it?? Must be a girl thing.

Love your small works lately, Catherine. Nice, loose, fun subjects and great style. I like your landscapes, a little different for you, shows the great diversity of talent you have!!

The tiny hit of orange in the laundry along with the lavender shadows really makes the orange house sing!
I can smell the fresh laundry all the way out here in Alberta.

There is something so soothing about seeing laundry on the line. And oh, that great smell of Sunshine! Wonderful job on this. Like the way the line gently swings upward across the canvas and the terrific pinks and purples in the whites. I also love the abstract light coming through the tree branches. Great little painting!

I studied under Gianni Cilfone and laundry hanging from the line was always a favorite subject. Love your painting.
